Battery Hog on MBP

I love this little program but it kills the battery life on my early 2011 Macbook Pro. I have had to uninstall it and battery life has returned to normal. Probably too much animation in the particular theme I was using. I continue to use it on My iMac because it is always on power but I also know it is impacting response time. However, it is not unacceptable.
